1 Be therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as is fitting for saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Do not be partakers with them.

As we continue our study in Ephesians 5, there is a clear message to us God’s word wants us to understand: imitate God as His children. In a family structure, children naturally imitate what they see and hear their parents do.

Similarly, as a child of God, what we learn about God through His word and by the Holy Spirit, we should imitate. This is how we walk in the light of God; this is what keeps us from being deceived and being led astray into darkness. Thursday, March 18 at 7 PM
